It has been no easy task to keep the South Island branch going, yet despite a maturing membership some faithful few like the sprightly secretary, Graeme Campbell keep the lights on for the LNZCC at this end of the globe. So if any of you lads from abroad are heading home for a long or short break we welcome your company and input at the club. 2010 LNZCC (South Island Branch) AGM Minutes

Friday 3rd September 6:00pm

Present: Graeme Campbell, Tony Gray, Chris Kennedy, John Campbell, Dave and Tom Sturman

Confirmation of the previous Annual General Meeting minutes being a true and accurate record

  • Carried Unanimously moved by TG 2nd by CK

Matters arising from previous AGM minutes

  • Updated Contact List to be finalised now we have identified players. TG, CK, JC and GC to confirm highlighted details
  • Web site administration to be improved and updated either by CS or Johns Niece
    • GC to work with CS and get it sorted
  • Subs to stay at $20
  • Possible amnesty and voluntary arrears payments once database confirmed and financials ratified and upon treasurers recommendation
  • VoP manager DS and captaincy to TS

Confirmation and reading of inward and outward correspondence

Presentation and consideration of Annual financial report

  • 23 Subs came in
  • Report to be tabled
  • Separate on line call account of $3509.09
  • Chq account $181.47
  • Positive income of $216.47
  • Recommendations
    • Match fees to be set at $10 per match that will cover ball and refreshments
    • Match manager can be flexible when new players come in at last minute
    • Lunch on top of that dependent of fixture
    • Moved by TG and 2nd DS carried
    • Subs to stay at $20 Moved by JC and 2nd CK Carried
  • 2010 North v South match payment of $1600 to VoP as good will gesture for all years of use

  • George Earl,  Ben Yock, Titch Maguire,  to be approached to become financial members and subs

Election of officers

  • TG nominated for Chair by CK and 2nd RB Carried
  • GC nominated for secretary by TG and 2nd by TS
  • JC nominated for Treasurer with an exemplar of Mike Singleton to be elected as assistant treasurer to take on full role in 2012 moved TG and 2nd RB
  • Mike Parker and Steve Lester to be elected on as committee moved by CK and 2nd by RB and TG

2010/2011 Match Schedules

  • North v South need a regular fixture home and away.
    • Mayor of Havlock north in Hastings at Cornwall Park for possible Auckalnd match 2011/2012
  • North v South tie in with Phoenix  or Super 15 match possibly in March @ Victoria Uni or Kelburn or Martinborough
  • The Fixture against the Willows has been confirmed as Sunday, 21st November - Willows will field a very strong international side in order to retain the Trevor Campbell Trophy! Mike Parker, TG and CK
  • VoP Jan 30th @ VoP Tom Sturman Captain DS manager
  • Hawkswood Feb @ Cheviot GC. Don’t have a team for Cheviot so Hawkswood will like to play one match each month. Would like to play two against us. Possible 7th Nov and then maybe return match at Diamond Harbour or Canterbury Club in late Feb. GC and Jason Kilworth to host possibly. Eddy Norgate contact

  • Blazers for $500 if required to see GSC

 

TG closed the meeting at 9:45pm and thanked CK and Glenda and family for hosting AGM
